ABOUT ANNE Anne Diskin is an experienced classroom
teacher, writer, lecturer, instructional coach, and consultant who has
delighted thousands of appreciative teachers throughout the United
States with her lively, practical workshops. Since 1979, she has
designed personalized professional development for public, private, and
parochial schools that has boosted student achievement AND teachers'
spirits. As an independent literacy consultant specializing in English
Language Arts, Content Literacy, and the Common Core, Anne is an expert
in demonstrating practical strategies that teachers can use to help ALL
students be capable, confident learners.
For several years,
Anne was honored to be a consultant for the National Urban Alliance, an
organization devoted to dramatically improving schools in the nation's
urban districts by using brain compatible, culturally relevant teaching
strategies. She has also been on the faculties of Cal State East Bay and
Mills College, Oakland, supervising credential and master's degree
candidates. Anne has been a featured presenter for numerous
organizations including Alpha Delta Kappa, The California Reading
Association, The California Elementary Educators Association (CEEA), and
The California Kindergarten Association.
